you have to think it was a quick backroom job logo (or bedroom) but then, even photoshop can do a better job than that...

I hate to admit it, but the main reason I've never used Opera is because I never liked the logo. (What a logo snob I am!) That highlight/see-through shadow always bugged me.

I concur. It's an ugly logo so i must assume the browser is equally as ugly if not moreso.

Opera is the Marmite of browsers, you either love it or hate. Many people believe it's not given a fair chance. I have used it and can't see much wrong with, the problem is it's still never been in my top 3.

1. Firefox
2. Camino
3. Flock
4. Safari
5. Opera

But people that use it will tell you it has some great plugins, trouble is every decent plugin they invent some Mozilla developer follows it up with an identical plugin for Firefox.
