Vauxhall's New Logo - Thoughts?

We don't get vauxhalls here in Ireland either, it's just Opel, so the logo's wasted on me really.

A bit of useless info for you all but when purchasing a Vauxhall you can have it rebranded as an Opal. I think it costs about £500 or at least it did, way back when... probably about £2,000 nowadays.

The redesign seems like a weird direction to take at a time when car companies need to build brands that seem friendlier, and less like greedy corporate monsters.

This here is a shiny American Badge :) , not a well-designed logo..
If you look at the "Insignia" you'll understand what are they trying to state with the new design...
