Default Refugee from the About.com forums...
Hiya,

My friend and business chum Cat recommended this forum and I figured I'd poke about for a while. I'm Tom, writer and designer and PR person, worker of non-profits and maker of very little money. My day job is a director of communications for a non-profit; my night job is columnist and humorist for BoDO, the Business of Design Online.

I escaped the About.com Graphic Design forum, which cleverly redesigned itself into a spectacular pile of poo.

So, that's me in short-form. Thanks for the listen!

Welcome Tom. I also escaped one of the forums on about.com a while back. A lot of the individuals on there didn't want anyone else to know as much as they did. I finally had to ask about.com to please let me go because of how bad the people using the forums were.

Sorry to ramble, but I understand your plight.

Unless you were on the military forums, I doubt it. I was in the Air Force for 10 years and worked with many of the service and personnel units on base whereas several of the members on that forum were in for maybe 3 or 4 years and didn't go anywhere. Oh well.

You'll love this forum. Everyone on here is pretty cool.

I'm another About.com refugee. Their new forum layout leaves little to be happy about. So I'm bouncing around in other forums that I have been a member of and heard about this one the other day, so I signed up.
