Hello everyone, sorry I had to be so weird and use a funny log in name.

I paid for a logo from Dustin Vanslambrouck's LogicalLogos ebay auction.
$12.99 is not much, but thats not the problem, the problem is this guy does not care and does bad work. See his 3rd try on a logo, YES third try.
Dustin told me he dont give refunds and I lost my paypal complaint.

You have a bad guy hanging around here...

I have to say that as with most things in life, you get what you pay for i'm afraid. $12.99 is just over £6, which would probably buy you a sandwich in London!

I do sympathise with you - but I would treat it as a valuable experience, and remember not to expect a professional service when its bought from eBay and (i'm guessing) there are no contracts involved?

Anyone interessted in an Epod? It's a real original (sorta) and it is pretty good. It's about 20 bucks and it might even play MP3's!

I can imagine people not having a lot of budget, but do some research and you will know what to expect to pay for something. Don't be naive, be true, this might get you farther.
If you decide you need a logo, ask yourself why. Are you going to play serious? What will be your business-plan? What will be your audience? And so on.. Companies don't have logo's to be cool, they have logo's to get recognized and they invest to have a good, recognizable and fitting logo.

No pun intended here. I just see a lot of 'Make me a logo posts' lately. I just want to make clear that a logo is more than a cute name and/or graphic that someone should whip up.

Hello everyone!

I am running a logo contest for my new offline organizational program for students. I would like to brand it with a professional logo. The name of the program is MyOwnPortal or M.O.P. The program allows people to organize appointments, phone numbers, class schedules, and much more. I need a logo to place at the top of the program window.

Please look at the attached zip for the program.

First place will be awarded 200$
Second place will be awarded 50$

The logo must match the color scheme of the program layout.
