Default how to pay a graphic designer?

Hey,
I'm wondering what is the going rate for a graphic designer to earn if they are responsible for receiving a marketing brief, going away, coming up with designs/ new brand identities? I work for a marketing company and am currently looking for a designer (in London) and am wondering how much we should expect to pay? Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

You'll get very different answers from everyone, because going rates are so varied.

It's usually a case of how good you are. I know people in the London area that do brochure design for £37 an hour and some that work for £120 an hour that's how wide spread it is.

Best of luck.

Nearly the majority of designers / design jobs are based in London, so I'm sure you'll have plenty of choice :)
