Hey, I ams a new member.
I think I got invited to this when it first launched from some other design forum, but never did get around to making an account. I was looking through some old email the other day and ran across it, so I figured better late than never.
I'm sort of an amateur graphic designer from Newfoundland, Canada. I'm 16, and probably not very good, but I really do feel I have a lot of potential and insane amounts of determination and drive to become better. Design is my passion and I can't wait to get out of high school and actually go to school for it. XD Uhm, lets see. I have an online portfolio, but it really needs to be redesigned (even though I only made it in April, but I've improved now and I am positive I can make it look way better) at Portfolio of Andrew Power The stuff there is kind of old and I don't really like much of it anymore. So a more accurate display of where I am right now would be my flickr account at Flickr: Photos from Molapro Andrew I don't know if this gives me any credibility or whatever, but in early June I took home gold in the national Skills Canada competition for Graphic Design. It's an annual competition and I can't wait to go again next year. I can't really say if I'll be posting around here a lot or not. I'm kind of sporadic in what forums I visit and how often I visit them. I may post several times a day, or I might just forget about it and not show up for months at a time. XD Anyway....Hi.

You've got more talent than any other 16 year i've ever seen. It'll be interesting to see what you create when you do start studying graphic design.

I've still got a year of high school left and then I'm doing a 2 year graphic design diploma at a college, and then another 2 year course in print and production. There's a waiting list though, so I'm getting my portfolio in a year in advance. I'm almost done with it now, maybe I'll post pictures.
