Hi everyone, the reason ive come to your forum is to seek aid and advice, rather than to share (sorry i would not be of much assistance).
I'de like to start out with a little background about myself, so you can have a btter uderstanding of where im coming from and hopefully this will make the processes of aiding me less painful (should you choose to do so). Well, Im 17 and im going into my senior year of Highschool, The only formal training in any Computer Graphics or related fields has been through Photoshop. I started doing CG on Photoshop 7.0 back in 2006 so that i could design my own Forum Signature for a Gaming Forum i participated in. I quickly became very interested in the world of CG. My interest has brought me to working with Programs such as Photoshop CS2, Dreamweaver, and 3d Studio Max. While the only true programs i have unrestricted acess to would be Photoshop CS2, and 3D Studio Max. Both which i have been able to aquire full version of. While Dreamweaver, and Illustrator (which i have yet to try my hand at) have proven too pricey for me to purchase on my own and too elusive for me to aquire by other means. Now the reason i seek your help and advice would be that while i aim rather unqualified, i have been employed in some means as a Computer Graphics Designer. I currently am employed by a Paintball Field/Store/Company, other than my immediate responsibilities i have offered my skills in GC to Design both Web Graphics, and Graphics in Print. The items which i have been asked to design include while not being limited to; T-Shirt, Brochures, Business Cards, Logos, and a new Website. Once again, while i have confidence i can accomplish said tasks i feel i am underqualified due to lack of Knowledge and Acessability in and to programs other than Photoshop. I would like to know a few things:
Kviglucci@gmail.com I Appreciate your time and any help you may provide me. Thanks alot, Spudnic |

well if your making Graphic Design as your profession, then you should learn to use the Adobe suite which includes Illustrator/Photoshop/Indesign and if your using a Mac get Quark
try this website to get acquainted with logos, if your searching for a logo, or want to edit or play around with the logos, because have vector format too. and if your simply losing creativity you can browse some of them to get an idea. and they have pictures you can work with. Best Brands of the World - vector logos, brand, logo, logotype, photos heres another free font download website 1001 Free Fonts - Download Free Fonts - Free Windows and Mac Fonts always the best way to learn about these programs is through a book, but make sure you get at least the Adobe CS2 ones, CS3 is the lates adobe suite. go to your nearest library and order them if theyre not in the shelves, through a book is a more constructive way of learning. get the basics first then do some wild effects later, doing this backwards works too but its kinda lame if you didnt know the simplest things. after that its gets a lot easier goodluck i know where you got your name from..
