Hello everyone, my name is Moran from Israel im new here.
Im pretty much a novice with graphic design and the likes, got some experience with photoshop but not much.
Now my goal is to basically become a 3D modeler(hoping to get into the gaming industry and such) now i understand for that you need experience in what? MAYA, 3D MAX and what else?
Im asking basically what do i need to do to get into that world. any help would be appreciated. THX

I'd say your best bet is to find those sorts of jobs online and then see what they ask for. I just found this for you 3D / Motion Graphic Artists jobs in Central London

Now obviously not your location or anything, but gives you a guide what you need. 3d studio max for the main part and maya.

i know im being pretty vague because im still a little uncertain about stuff, but i guess my question is do i just need 'mastery' in programs like maya, 3d max and the likes? do i need to know how to draw, sketch and the likes or is that just an added bonus?

I think if you've got the work and the personality, they won't care too much how you make it. Your portfolio will be your calling card. Or your wing-man if you like..
