Default Convert scan to graphic?

Is there a way to convert a scanned image (drawing in black pen) to look more computerised...?

trace it - take into illustrator or freehand and trace it

oh, that's what i meant, sorry, use the freehand/pen tool and trace it by hand :)

but maybe you can do the same with say inkscape (it's opensource so freeware) - that could probably do the job as it's a vector drawing application like illustrator/freehand

not your fault, didn't explain what i meant sorry :) yeah, if it's redrawn in vectors then it can be grouped together and enlarged (or reduced) to whatever size you require without any loss of quality or detail.

you need illy, then you just import it in and use the live trace tool

Yeh, I know I do...I'll be getting it in a few months with my imac though :) . . . I dont see the point in spending the money on it right now...
