Default depthCORE

Perhaps I'm a little late in discovering depthCORE (found via a link on one of Arsenal's design packs) but I was stunned and in awe of the projects and sheer talent of this group! Perhaps it should be classified as more illustration than design, but I wanted to share. They're just so beautiful to look at!! I love the depth of field effects and colors the most.

Have you seen them before?

Now if only those designs were web-pages... why why why must web designers be expected to code their own projects...

why is everything moving to stricter doctypes with less design flexibility... why are OS vendors ignoring the lack of font support in browsers issue... why can I not embed a font for delivery with a webpage...

Why don't I see these designs everywhere??? Do people refuse to employ these people?

it's beyond me...

James, part of me agrees with you, the other disagrees on your first statement. I am not very good at coding, but I think it's necessary to understand it in order to 1) know what is possible and 2) understand how the Web medium works.

And re stricter doc types: This is a very good thing. More structure means more predictability, which means you'll know exactly what to do to get the effect you want. Indeed this creates more design flexibility, not less! But I too wish I could embed fonts to really create the site the way I want it... ah well. Maybe some day!
