Wow, I am so tempted right now!
My 15" powerbook is still running well after 3 years, and although I don't NEED the new iMac, I sure want one. It's going to be hard to hold off on picking one up.

When it comes to purchasing a Mac, would you recommend purchasing directly from apple (either in store/on line), another mac specialty store, or a big box such as bestbuy?

Will this decision affect the customer service I receive down the road when repairs or information is needed?

Am I the only one who really appreciates the nice lovely clean lines of a mac, but thinks they are seriously over priced for the spec of the machine you get for your money?

the original post with the lovely mac built into the monitor I can understand being pricey but Sony make an awesome computer very similar for about £500-£600 less and a more powerful machine. Simply buy a copy of Leopard and you'll be laughing for a fraction of the cost.
