Default Spliting image?

I'm currently working on a flyer, I've always wondered is there a way to ask Photoshop to split your image in half with a grid line horizontally or vertically?

I know you can apply grids but there isn't an option to make a grid right through the middle of your image...

Thanks, I hope you understand my questions.

What do you want to do with the split?

arrrrr. I think you can position photoshop guides by typing in the number in the top part. This would require a calculator or your maths brain on. Ie A4 is 210mm so the half way would be 105mm etc etc.

You then go View > New Guide
Then type the number in and your away.....

Otherwise, if you have InDesign, it has a better set of guides for that.

Hi,

1) Make sure 'snap' is selected in the 'view' menu.
2) Make sure you have the image layer selected
3) Turn rulers on and drag guides to the left and right edges of the image (these should snap to the edges)
4) drag a guide to roughly halfway between and it should snap to the center

Hope this helps...

If you're looking for the center of the actual page you have open and not an image, make sure you are on the 'background' layer and then drag a guide out....it will snap to the center of your page.
