Default How to get the glossy effect?

I am only young so I dom't know how to do many effects. But most things I see have a sort of glossy effect.
IF you know what I mean please can you tell em how i can create this effect.
I will post some examples later.
Thanks

not sure what you call glossy, but there are several filters you can start with like plastic wrap and emboss. You might look into Xenoeffects
There are also a couple ways if you want to do it manually.. layering, opacity, reflections, ect.

Maybe we could offer some more help if you posted an image or link to an image that has this "glossy" effect you talk about.

You mean, like a candy-button? Something that looks like glass? That's a fun and easy thing to do with PhotoShop or even Illustrator. Post a picture of what you're looking for and I could probably find you a dozen sites with tutorials.
