Default Photoshop layer help

I'm currently doing a Tarot card spread on photoshop with about 75 cards (its huge)

Each card is on a different layer, I need to edit the spread a bit but all the layers are mixed up and it takes me ages to find the correct card in all the layers...

So my question is:

Is there a way in Photoshop to select layers by clicking on the actual card in the picture?

So say I want card 50 selected, instead of finding it on the layers sidebar I can just click the card on the picture and it will automatically detect the layer?

Thanks!

No, you used to be able to do it in imageready if you've got a copy of that, but I'm pretty sure it's not available in PS

You just need to hold the control button when clicking on the layer...CS3 will actually show you a list of layers/folder as well.

Only problem is that I can't select multiple layers this way, I hold CTRL and it still only selects one...

Hold down shift and control to select multiple layers.

No probs. Photoshop's got so many shortcuts it can be hard to know/remember them all!

you can simplify your work by grouping layers into folders, just create new folder and drag and drop some layers in it then with just a single click you can select the whole layer group and move them at once

Hit V to get the selection tool and then at the top you can check something like "Automatically Select Layer" (or words to that effect). Just means you don't have to hold ctrl.
