Default 360 degree user control

Ok, I dont know what they are called but I want to create one of those things where you have a photo of a room and if the user clicks the left arrow, the image will move left slightly and if they click right it will move right slightly - all in all , showing them a 360 degree view of a room where "the camera pivots on a spot".

Basically, Im looking for a tutorial or someone to tell me on how to create one of these.

Is it made up from a video or a series of photos? If photos, how many?

Thanks,

Phil

They usually run off of a java applet or flash. I have a friend who just made a boat load of money developing & selling them to realtor sites... so they tend to cost money, unfortunately.

You can check this Google results to see if you can find something.
or FREE Virtual tour software

First off you create a photomontage, using stitching software, this you can then convert into a Quicktime VR movie, that you can embed into any website. The user then veiwing the movie can control where he look, even zoom in or out.

Depending on your OS, there are plenty of Apps, Realviz Stitcher being probably the most well known, you can try a demo, windows and OS X. An App I found recently is Double take, OS X only, incredibly easy stitcher software. Cubic Convertor is a good OS X app for making QTVR movies

But even better, this site is the answer to your prayers, QTVR and you tube in one, everything can be done online, and it hosts your movies which you can embed
