Hi CVW, many thanks, that makes a whole lot of sense! and yes, this layer thing is real misleading for beginner web developers!! If was up to me...I'd stick to juz graphic design as well!!!!

..ps will also go through the tutorial u supplied tommylogic!! thanx a mil!
