Default Printing an image on a shirt...

I have this client who wants an image printed on a shirt. He sent me this drawing he had done at the mall, it was in black and white, cartoonish. I used the Corel program, made a second layer with clone and added color, merged the two in Photoshop and saved that image for the web.

There is the final result. Now the problem is the printing company told him that it was too small and it was not the right format . But that's all they told him!

My question is, what advice can I give my client so that he can re-scan this image (or the original if need be and I'll color it again) so that it can be printed? I know absolutely nothing about printing images. I do have access to Ai and Id.

Thanks in advance
~B

Make it a vector, you could try the live trace in Illustrator

I've never used it* before, so it's greek to me...for now anyway. But I'll give it a shot. You can change a png image to a vector? I have it saved as png and psd, if that makes a difference.

it* being the live trace.

Well right now I have it saved at 300dpi, but it's very small that way. I need to find a tutorial on how to use live trace before I start though.

Thanks again for your help everyone.
