Default I dread to ask but...marquees?

Ok, Im helping a friend create a website for a school project - I needs to know how I can make a marquee for him that is XHTML valid!

using the dreaded and "fake" tags makes the page have 2 errors.

Does anyone know how I could use an external javascript to make a a marquee and link to it in the head section? Or does anyone know of a good external javascript that I can download?

Thanks,

Phil

Dynamic Drive is usually a good place to find stuff like that, is this the sort of thing you're looking for?:

Yeh, Ive actually already had a look at that but by including it directly into the html file it creates 31 errors! is there anyway that I could simply link to it externally?

Fair enough, not sure if it can be done that way though as I need it to be 820px wide and about 25px high with text scrolling from the right to left.....

Type the wording, capture frame one, move it along a bit for frame 2, repeat until it's moved across the screen then save for web with as little colours as possible.
