By next year I wanna have my own online portfolio up

I can make layouts using photoshop, but I don't know how to code.

anyone know where I could learn? websites or something?

You might wanna take a look here. It's an article about HTML tutorial websites. Also here you have some design resources, including CSS tutorials. Basically these 2 (HTML and CSS) is what you need to get started.

i think you should go for a web designing course in place of learning it online...

The thing is if you wanna do this for a living you really need to take some specialized courses. If you're doing it as a hobby online tutorials are enough.
