Indesign CS3 Fonts

I am currently working on a project and i was sent fonts that were needed to the project that i did not have. I asked for help on indesign and it told me to add the fonts into the indesign fonts folder in my computer, but I can't figure out how to activate them. Help please?

I dont know if this will help...

but if i add fonts to my windows fonts folder with potatoeshop running, I have to refresh the FONTS folder then go back into Ps and it is available..

1.install font into folder
2.refresh (F5) folder
3 go back to graphics app
