Default my mind has gone blank!

Im half way through creating a template for web page and Im up to the stage where Im sorting out the formats of each div.

The nav is "floated" on the left with the content to the right o it and I want to pad the content div so that the text is always 5px away from the edge . . . . HOW!!!????

All help really appreciated!

Phil

Thanks but Ive tried numerous combinations of that but I am still struggling :(

heres my css code:

HTML Code:
body, html {
	margin: 0px;
	padding: 0px;
	background-image: url(images/background-image.png);
}

#page-container {
	background: red;
	width: 760px;
	margin: auto;
}

#header {
	background: orange;
	width: 760px;
	height: 150px;
	margin auto;
}

#main-nav {
	background: yellow;
	width: 200px;
	margin: auto;
	float: left;
}

#content {
	background: green;
	width: 760px;
	margin-left: 210px;
	margin: auto;
}

#footer {
	background: blue;
	width: 760px;
	height: 40px;
	padding; 5px;
	margin: auto;
	clear: both;
}
basically I want the content that is inside the "content" div to be 5px within it, i.e. not touching the edges.

any more help to what I should remove from my coding or what I should add/change?
