Default how to make a contract

hey i need to know when yr making a contract for a client how is it made legal and how do people go about charging and all that.

i think the question was asking if a lawyer needs to ratify it to make it binding or something and how the money is collected or transfered.

my personal experience is that if both parties agree and sign the contract is binding.
money gets moved in whatever manner you agree too. (i like briefcases and cars by spillways myself but no one ever agrees to it)

Yup it was more the legal side of things so that helps, thanks. Also do people give receipt or just go off a bank statement.

most clients prefer a receipt to keep for their records and tax purposes. Usually give them one for each check they write and a descriptive of the services completed, down payment, final, etc...

there are sample contracts you can find on line.
they outline some of the important points, then you can make your adjustments.
