I have an issue when using swfobject, which replaces an image that is aligned left with a movie, followed by another div. Firefox insists on placing the next div on a new line! Other browsers just place it immediately to the right on the movie, as intended by me. If I disable Flash, then Firefox happily places the content div immediately to the right of the image div, no new lines.
Code goes like this: HTML Code:
<div id=image><img src="/img/image.jpg"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> var so = new SWFObject("/intro.swf", "mymovie", "700", "450", "8", "black"); so.write("image") </script> <div id=content>$content</div> Any help greatly appreciated. |

What styles do you have set on the div image and div content. ?
Can we see this in use somewhere?

You can see the entire setup on Verkoso - Diamonds Beyond Ordinary - the main page has the problem described, but others simply have image in 'image' div - the insides of both divs are filled dynamically. As long as there is no flash, everything works fine, but with it...
I apologize for a somewhat bloated code, I realize some things could probably be done more efficient so spare the comments on DIVitis or anything like that. |
