I am almost done designing a website but need help on where to place my navigation.
I have it at the top at the moment but am slightly undecided as to how it looks, the alternative would be in between the logo and content and have a very simple text based navigation div. Any critique for the rest of it would be appreciated. Without nav: ![]() With nav: ![]() Thanks in advance

Perfect where it is, I'm a big fan of the nav being right at the top on most sites.

I was worried it took some emphasis off of the logo, I did try it under the logo but it just didn't sit right.

Does the whole page change or just the text in the white box? If tis just the white box that changes why not have the nav position just above the box in a crisp white font?

I haven't tried just text on the gradient background yet, do you mean just static text straight onto the page or some kind of font in Photoshop and sliced up like the navigation I currently have?

I like the way you use the grunge looking text but feel the nav should at first be crisp and clean, try the having your nav links using the font you use for your link links (if you get me) and then have them change on a rollover to the grungier font....
Use the ligher blue of the external part of the logo to create a matching bit at the top of that main content section i.e. extend the white a bit higher and overlay with blue but have a roudner curve on the right and a square curve on the left to match.....

So you mean the left hand side white content box (and perhaps the right as well), change the shape of the top of the box to the same as the logo?
That sounds like it might work :)

Yeh, but keep your rough looking "SAPS" and "LINKS" icons though...I like them....and only have your navigation on the adaption to your main cotnent box on the left.
