Side is great, I'm not a fan of side 2 though, I understand you want people to pick it up but if I saw it I'd think of those awful leaflets you get through the door offering you loans and credit cards
Welcome anyway
Hi all,
Just registered here and looks like a great forum. I look forward to becoming an active member :)
I run a small (myself and one other) website design company and I also offer graphic design etc, the usual supporting services.
I needed to have a flyer designed which I contacted a designer about (due to lack of time). He turned out to be no so good, so I sent it to two others who all had really naff ideas.
Anyway, I spend a couple of hours playing about today (as i had today off work, supposedly).
This is the result.
Side 1
Side 2
Obviously this is a low res mockup.
The flyer will be A6 size and will be used for 2 door drop campaigns and some b2b marketing. I want the flyers to grab the receivers attention and make them want to read it (goes without saying).
I have used the £££ to grab the attention, inlcuded bulleted service offerings and included two clear calls to action.
I would really appreciate any feedback on this flyer. I am a web guy primarily so don't be too harsh!
Many Thanks

Beauty is in the eye.......that's it
Thanks for your thoughts :)
it might work better for you as a mailer.
though that is essentially the same thing as what your doing now, just smaller.
no matter what you decide to do i would suggest looking up some stats on ROI for the marketing plans you use.
no point in wasting money on a campaign that offers no return.
for your design. side one lacks interest and message i would slap postal information on there and use it in a mailer campaign for sure. side two is good, not sure about the icons but it's definitely a start.
Thanks guys,
I have actually got 'credit' with a couple of flyer distribution companies for some work I did for them.
Will be sending these out in Jan.

Amended slightly......
I don't want to go mad with the fonts, I thought the simplicity of the fonts is a good thing in this case to make the statement VERY clear. Open to thoughts on this.
This image is exactly what the finished flyer will look like (once cropping etc taken into account)
Thanks a lot everyone, look forward to any further thoughts.

ok guys.
Taking into account everything that has been said, I have started another design with a different concept.
I know they are a little dull colour wise, but again this is just a start.
Any thoughts at this stage? Obviously both sides have a tagline that hopefully generate interest.
Now I KNOW this is far from finished but what do you guys think of the concept and overall idea?
Thanks again!

Hi Gary - welcome to the site...
You are clearly very proficient in design, but for me both ideas are really boring. They are the same as hundred's of other mailers and flyers you get every day.
Sorry to be harsh - I think you need to think again, and be less conventional with your ideas.
salt mustard vinegar pepper
Well that was an e-kick in the balls!!
A very welcome one though!
See I want to have a LOT of these printed and although I really like to think outside the box, I am still clinging to the edges of the box, not wanting to let go.
I want to be creative, without being TOO creative and losing the message for the sake of own pride and 'showoffness'.
I hope that makes sense.
Anyone care to chip in with examples of creativity gone wild, that really works?
Not to copy any of the ideas, but I really appreciate this feedback and will use everything that I am told to further develop this project.
Many Thanks
Gary
A couple of ideas I played with a few days ago, unfinished but may as well pop them on here
