Thanks.

I am actually running with that one and will have it finished soon.

Probably wont post the finished design online though as ive had a lot of negative comments (on several design forums), no idea why, so its easier to just do what I think is right :)

Thanks to all that have offered CONSTRUCTIVE criticism :)

Gary

Amazon.com: The Best of Brochure Design 9 (Best of Brochure Design): Books: Jason Godfrey

and other similar books have always been big inspirations for me when i get stuck in a design rut. most the design books i buy are for the insperado more than the tricks or techniques they display.

Any thoughts at this stage? Obviously both sides have a tagline that hopefully generate interest.

Now I KNOW this is far from finished but what do you guys think of the concept and overall idea?

Thanks again!

This one is a nice start. A bit cliche, but better than the first one.

While several designers on here are giving their opinions because Gary asked, I think everyone needs to consider what market this is aimed at. In reality if you don't know the market, it doesn't help to kill an idea.

A lot of my market is older with money, but not a hip crowd. If my message is clear and gets through (easy to read), they're happy. On the other hand, I also have an historic hotel that just let me juice up some of their advertising look and they love it.

I wouldn't trash your designs just yet. But I would suggest that you evaluate who your market is before you send your flyer out. And in having us here on the Design Forum give you pointers, it would also be a benefit for us here to know that info as well to give you better opinions from a marketing stand-point.

I hope this helps you out.

I agree with Cwilk.
Your designs all show the ability to create and communicate a message.
The poeple you are targeting will not be looking to see if you adhere to design principles.
As long as they understand what you are offering and can show the product I.E. design, you have achieved your goal.
That said ..other fair points have been made you MUST GET NOTICED in order for the message to be seen. Its always tricky especialy when you are doing it for yourself..i find im much more critical of my work that is for me than I am for a client.

Anyway enough from me...

I'd maybe look at adding a bit more colour, the green is just a bit too much for me...

Maybe try working with a couple of different tints of green or something

i'm really liking the idea behind the 'we have your money' one. really interesting concept. if you don't go ahead with it this time, i think definitely think about picking it up for a future campaign :)

Okay, I know this is off-subject...but what's up with all of the women's body parts on all of the avatars?
