Default Convincing a Client to Ditch the Curlz...

I have a new web design client, and I've come up with a really beautiful design for her new website. On her old site, she had been using Curlz for her 'logo', and I was hoping that I could just sneak in a nicer font and she'd admit how much more she liked it.

No such luck... after sending her the mockups, she apologized for not sending me her 'logo', which, by the way, she has paid to have trademarked.

Anyone have any suggestions for what I could say to convince her to ditch the Curlz?! It's one of those things I feel like it ruins the whole design, even if I didn't have anything to do with it, I could never use it in my portfolio.

this is one of those times you just have to go with their whims.
try offsetting the "curlz" with some straight lines and bubbles or circles.... variety may help you out on this one.
