got interview next week! Help!

hi guys. I have an interview next week for a print based graphic designer. Got a couple of questions and i would love some answers

1. Ive been doing flash animation for the last 7 months do i take some samples along on my laptop even though its a print based job?

2. I have stationery, corp. id., menu layout, brochure layout, flyer and published adverts in my folio. Anything else i should be including or will it be ok having a few good samples of each?

The first question is a tough one. It all depends on what kind of company they are, if there's a chance you could move on or fill in, in their web development/multimedia dept. Then yes it can't help. But if it primarily a printer's they will not be interested one bit. (You find that with printers).
They could see it as if you are using print design as a stop-gap until you land a great web/multimedia job. Like I said it's tough one.

Take a few pieces of your best work. Don't try taking too much as a few not so good pieces could bring down the standard on the portfolio overall.

I think i'll leave my laptop at home then. Its definitely print based so my flash stuff probably isn't going to help me get the job.

Its called Supreme, they manufacture promotional products. Im not really sure what the work involves but it seems varied.

Promotional products could be anything from presentation folders to keyrings. Should be interesting.

Got the job!! Well chuffed but sad to leave my present employer. It looked and sounded really good at the interview. Its a position where a lot of creativity is involved which is great!
