3D logo design help

Hello all,

This is probably going to be a real newbie question, hope somebody can help me...

What is the best way of creating a 3D logo that I could possibly animate into a gif from a basic 2D logo - just a bitmap unfortunately.

I've been trying a couple of programs, and can only find ones with preset models and images in.

If someone could give me some advice or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Hey, yeah - that would have been a good idea really wouldn't it!?

I basically want it to look like a cube, with the colours on four sides, and the logo on the two panels front and back - because of the odd tail, I know it'll have to be reversed on the back, but that's cool.

Would this be easy enough to do?

3D program you say? I'll give that a go, hopefully it'll work out better than Excel did.
