I didn't think they were going to release another but I think it's gone cs3. A freind told me they were going to keep DW becuase alot of their following is beginers it's where most people start. And they were going to try and develop GL more for valadating, more advanced php, ftp etc. and make it alittle more for professionals. It's never really been upgraded that much so they've got a lot to work with.
Apparently they had to keep the name go-live and the functions it had when they bought it for a certain period but now they can change whatever they want. Thats what held them back a little.

Laura,

That's interesting. I always thought DW was more for Designer Pros. I say design pros because most of the Developers I know code by hand. We'll see how it pans out. Nice photo by the way : )

Why is it when you read an article you can never seem to find it

Dreamweaver if used correctly, but I have tried Go-live and it's good

Yep.. thats the rig.

I usually transfer everything into Fireworks to do the mockup and slicing. I only use Photoshop for intense or heavy image work and Illustrator for all the heavy vector work (I may be doing less with PS and try to stick with Illy if it works out)

I have just swithed to this one myself
Adobe Web Premium CS3

I had your setup almost verbatim, but this newer set REALLY seems to play together a bit better... or so they say and I hear... I will let you know more as I get into the new Dreamweaver & Fireworks.

Can I ask why people still slice up images and place into HTML tables to design websites? I have only done this a few times and found it such a long-winded and primitive method of producing a site.

Can I also ask what people think of 100% flash sites? Opinions would be gratefully received...

From a web persons point of view I don't mind Flash sites but from a users point of view I'm not a fan they've got to be made to perfection, i.e, fast load times, clear and obvious navigation otherwise I just shut them down.

Can't say I've found that many Flash sites I do get on with.
