Default PLEASE HELP! how to make realistic visuals

Hi, does anybody know any tutorials or know themselves how to make your artwork look realistic for your portfolio. For example making a douple page spread look like a double page spread which is in a brochure or magazine......without taking a photo of the printed job. I'm not sure if this will make sense as im tired and frustrated at not being able to do this lol

I found some examples, below, to help you understand what i mean.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou!

2 posts is hardly posting everywhere, I can't see a problem, it's got to be up to the mods if something needs moving or is not relevant

...(To help with the original post!)
You'll need to export your work as a pdf and then open these files in photoshop. Simple curves in booklets (ie: at the centre of a spread) can be recreated using layer masks. Make a new layer and paint a dark grey strip. Now add a layer mask, and set the gradient tool to be one pure black and the other pure white. Now draw a gradient across the layer - the white will stay opaque while the black bit will fade out. Also, experiment with the layer blending (multiply is a good one) and opacity to get it looking more realistic. You can repeat the above but with a white painted strip instead of grey to simulate light shining off the brochure / whatever.

Making the pieces into a convincing 3D shape like above would take a bit of distortion, but i'm not an expert at that myself!
