Hmm... i almost had it there.
Most of the time ctrl+clicking (with the pen tool) on the curve will drag the curve using the black selection arrow but somehow i just got it to use the white arrow just now... no idea how i did that.

*edit* Ctrl+alt+tab will do it... but i'm pretty sure i never pressed tab the first time. There must be some other way.
Such an un-intuitive application.

*edit2* Ah, it uses which ever selection tool was used last. There we go, now i think i got it.

So you agree with me that illustrator is like... Bizarre!? lol

Guess im just stuck working like a grandma in illustrator, Selecting different tools to do stuff :(

In photoshop i could literally grab the pen tool and move the toolbar, and draw a complete vector image, never moving off the pen tool lol

(im not completely stupid with the pen tool btw lol, i made my avatar with it)
I totally understand. I've been using Illy since 1988, and I know what to do on my end, but I'm having a hard time explaining what I know. : ) So apologies for being cryptic.

Anyways, here's a fairly decent diagram to explain better.

I actually called the wrong thing the anchor point. The anchor point is the main point and in diagram B you'll see the handles coming out of each side that you can move independently.

If you click on one of the handles, you'll be able to move the curve that the handle is attached to.

Yesss!, YUESSS! lol man YEAH! lol

That is exactly what i was talking about, Now i just gotta see if theres a way to set illustrator to automatically do CTRL+ALT+TAB lol (i would much rather have to switch to the selection tool to drag entire paths than to hit that shortcut to drag a single path)

Well, as i said above, hitting Ctrl uses which ever selection tool was used last.
So as long as you don't switch to the black selection tool or press ctrl+a;t+tab again, it will always use the white one.
