I mean, i cant imagine they gimped the pen tool like that in illustrator, illustrator IS the pen tool you know?

PLUS... the direct select tool(the one that CAN move points) is shortcut (A) lol
And the pen is P, COMPLETELY across the keyboard from each other.

Besides that its just stupid to have to switch tools :(

Another bit of irony... i don't think D is a shortcut for anything.
D for (D)irect selection and is 2 letters away from A. Makes sense to me anyway.

I think you actually need some illustrator expert in this thread to answer for Adobe's crimes.

Hold Alt to get the handles, release alt but keep the mouse button pressed.
THEN hold spacebar. Tadaa!

Ok... i think you CAN move with the pen tool using ctrl like in ps, But like... you cant have the path selected in any way or itll move the entire path, So you have to move ur mouse along the path line until u find out where exactly the point was

Which brings me to another new question, Is there a key to highlight the points in a path, without selecting them? so u can find them to drag?

ooo u rocked it lol

Now say u get done with that path, unselect it and all, Is there a way to go back and still move that point? without having to hit alt and redo the entire curve u already set? (i know you could with the other tool, but the whole point is using the pen tool lol)

You have to hold down the option/alt key and select the anchor point that you want to move. This keeps the opposite anchor in place so that the other curve doesn't change shape.

If you don't have the anchors showing, click on the main vector point to make them show up.

Hope that made sense. I know how to use Illy pretty well, but it's difficult to explain.

What do you mean opposite anchor? Are you talking about the trajectory points? Because im talking bout the central anchor points (the middle in a curve anchor)

(im not completely stupid with the pen tool btw lol, i made my avatar with it)
