It looks to be a combination of skewing and the rotation tool. Then they probably duplicated the 'D' and created the edge manually. Several pieces look like they are separate from eachother. You can tell from where the fades end and begin.

Now where the 'A' and 'D' meet, they may have had to put a filler piece using the white and green colors. One would be placed in the front where the line crosses the 'A' and the other piece is on a layer in the back. You can't make an object be in front and back on two different layers.

is it possible is i'm using Illustrator to do that?So the right software to do it?Swift3d?erm...

Illustrator will do it, you just have to draw it out.

I would find a font to use, the print it out. Get some tracing paper, trace it then draw in the 3D effect. Scan it and drop it into illustrator, trace it with the pen tool and clean it up where it needs to be.

It's actually easier drawing it out. This is what is called doing it old skool. Thumbnails were once part of what graphic designers once did before computers. Sometimes I think the new generation of designers should just be given a pad of paper and a pencil when they get a new job. There's nothing like brainstorming for ideas on paper.

I think if you use the shapes by the photoshop carefully then you will get something like this and you do some things more beautiful and for the light :
it's very easy to do it by using the coulors carefully
