Question images for website templates??

Ok guys, i wrote another topic recently asking for copyright free images for use in small website advertising banners...i found out today that we will also need to use these images for website templates.

I have spent all night reading thru license agreement after license agreement and each one i have read clearly stipulates that the images can not be used for electronic templates.

Basically it is an website which allows people to join up and list their related business and create a quick website from a template we provide.

We need images for the templates so customers can get a better idea of what it will look like completed.
Also if customers do not have their own images then they will be able to leave the images already on the template.

Images would also be used in small advertising banners with in companies website - obviously as a composition with other information etc.

So apart from photographing every image yourself, what DO people use as images when creating website templates?

It is going to be a very high volume service so we are being extremely careful not to breech any agreements...
PLEASE SOMEBODY!! HELP!!!

Thanks in advance...i hope....

You would have to buy full rights to repoduce and sell on the image property which costs a lot of money, why don't you just use placeholders and then people buy the templates they upload their own images?

If it was me (this probably isnt the most legit way) But i would find the best pictures i wanted, Then manipulate them to be hardly recognizable lol.

Or use the stock sites where the photographers directly state it can be used for commercial purposes

Most people use royalty free stocks for templates but if you talk about copyrighting stuff and 'not to breech any agreements' just buy them.

Companies are really clamping down on this now, they pay people to search the net looking for un licensed images, BE CAREFUL!

places like stockxpert images only cost like £2.50 / $4.99 for say 5 credits and that could get you a couple of images.... what their agreements say about templates im unsure, but for sucha cheap price it might be worth a look
