I would take out the drop shadows and justify the text to make it a little neater

It looks okay. The real question is whether the layout is okay for the purpose.

For that you would need to develop user profiles, personas, and disclose the purpose for the site. Never Get Involved in a Land War in Asia (or Build a Website for No Reason)

Sounds obvious. But far too many people post sites that look good, but that's only because they were never really designed for a use-centered purpose.

I agree with Kelly on the drop shadows. They are distracting. Also the site itself is very small and difficult to read. Maybe consider setting it up as a standard size. Otherwise, it looks nice to me.

Not bad so far - looking pretty good, but if I can make one or two suggestions?

The title of the site could be a little bigger and more eye-catching - with a graphic or logo?

The three main columns - any reason they are not the same height? It might look more finished if they were...

The text needs breaking up! A line break, image or sub heading would do the trick.

Keep going, you are nearly there!
