Lets say there were like 3 more images in similar size, but they would all be for different sites because they are links. Whats would you call the name of these type of images?

Well... here's a crazy though, just off the top of my head, but how about: "Links"
Subtlety is my middle name... and first and last in case you didn't get the point.

I still call them banners
I would call them links as well

thumbnails, links, adverts, web banner, banner ad, live banner, banners, PPC ads, impression. Thats all i can think of, if its not one of those i suggest you reference them as "links"
