Hi I had a client that I was making a CGI illustration for it started out nice then it was :-
can you move that object up 2mm and dont continue till i see the preview. He takes all day.
Why have you moved that seems like you moved it 1mm up can you move it back dont do any other thing till I see the prevew. He takes a day to think it over.
Why you moved that dial 3mm can you move it back it needs to look right.
A week later he starts to complain that the printers are waiting each preview gets more complains about a dial knob being 1 mm out and complains about how long it's taking. It was for an illustration for a book cover not a engineering diagram and it was him asking for the thing moving 1 -3mm twice a day it was like an elephant trying to climb a mountain of glue. The first idea he had was an entire city scene in CGI and he wanted it done in a day.
If he had left the brief with me I would of finished it within two days not 2 weeks and with my ideas and no restrictions It would of looked far better. In future I think I'll will be more bossy and tell them to just trust me and to crit it at the end and then I'll move it all 3mm and 1mm back to make them happy.
I can't call him a bad client though he paid deposit straight away and paid the final and I got some praise at the end.
