I've just noticed that the graphics on some of my website are showing a very light blue tinge on other people's computers, but not on mine.
For example i have the logo, which is inserted as an image file and even though the background is white on white around the logo and looks perfect on my computer , on my wife's computer you can definitely see a faint blue background the entire size of the image. I have tried a transparent background - it only made the blue even darker. I tried painting over it in white again - a little improvement - but still a slight blue/grayish appearance. I've now gone through a bunch of my sites and low and behold most have the same result. Also i notice a whole lot of "noise" - blurriness/dirtiness around other text rollover images? Once again perfect on my computer but a disaster on others?? Why? I'm no graphic artist. I'm saving images and graphics in the top quality (12) in photo shop, I've tried all types of files. jpeg, png , gif. And I've search hi and low online - no info? Can anyone give me a reason? I can send a link to the offending websites if needs be. |

I did post this question on a couple other forums, a few people said they say the problem too.
One suggestion was to use an eye dropper tool. Another said that the background was infact not white. I,m going to mess around a bit shortly with the sites, and then i'll report back and you can take a look see if the suggestion make a diff. |

I don't see the problem. The only problem i see is that the layout changes slightly between FF and IE, and IE6 doesn't display your header image properly for buscar.
Also the pucheros logo won't load up in IE for me at all. I don't know why.

Not so long ago, a couple of people in here were seeing a grey background I did as blue... it turned out ot be their gamma settings on their monitor.
If you want to be sure you are getting true colors you should first calibrate your monitor. Then you can reference colors with something like this Color Chart Web-Safe Color Cube Defining Colours
