I have to say the key icon you have says log-in to me.

Sometimes register is usually a tick something like this from icon factory..

a lot of the existing icons are confusing. personally would add text to them so people know what each is.

as for a login register icon: a key (which you have), a door that opens, the arrow you got already could also mean login. even the body of a person icon suggest a login / register.

Agree with bluesage that a wee bit of text would be useful in clearing up what the icons are. For register, what about a pen or pencil icon to sign the register with?

I think Toon's icon is clear and straight for this purpose - and you can minimalize it to join the overall style (the key icon is good too)

If you would like to make a deeper research to find out how your desidered icons will be, check:
http://www.symbols.com/
(I think it's fantastic, but for most works it is an overkill research)

Yes it's a great database - and not only for webdesigners!
(I'm considering to buy the book)
