I think we (from this forum) should all vote heavily for each others logos on Logo Sauce. This keeps us higher and probably even with each other. It would help us to comment positive or negative while giving high scores.

Until they have something better in place, I don't know what else we can do.

ummm i think its a level playing field the only way to maintain integrity between others and be true to yourself is to vote fairly, its the only way standards come up. voting in packs accomplishes nothing.

p.s. On the national speed competition i see none of your names on the leading entry at the moment ... its not about the group its the field on which your playing, you enter to be judged by your peers and comrades.

well.. I think generally as long as their is money at stake (in anything) there is going to be conspiracy. I think in on this situation they should only allow the person who is holding the contest to vote and comment.

This site (GDF) is probably the best place to get honest critique on work from what I've seen so far. But even this is capable of being twisted.. say perhaps a friend has an account or client they are trying to sell a product to.. and another designer wants that account or client.. it woudld be pretty easy to gang up and blast them out of contention.. very cliquey (not this site, rather that practice in itself)..

I think as artists there are more creative ways to address the situation.. like if toon were to try to sell forums or forum design.. this site pretty much speaks for itself. He wouldn't have to show another forum or project at all.

There's always going to be corruption where there's money. sad :(

The sad thing is most people I know aren't entering for the money, personally I don't enter for the money, people like me and Christina don't really have to pimp around for clients paying $500 for a logo, you're lucky to get one for $750.

hehehe ... true ... mine are just a release from the routine rigmarolls of the day a 5 min wind down session ... and im not trying to make a mockery (ha pun) of it just gets me geared up and hone in and get something out .... whilst adhering to concept and creativity ( although not on all :) ).

I think the best forum i have found so far is logopond, constructive and a nice community but as Tommy says money corrupts....

I know that Harden says his logo designs only take a couple of minutes, but that's smart on his part.

That's pretty much all the time I spend on each logo too. If I spent more time than that, I'd be wasting my time. And yes Toon, I do get far more for a logo (in real life ). So doing these is really just for fun. I do also agree that money corrupts.

Ok so i lied they dont take 5 they take 4 mins ... however usually its a day or two sketching then onto the wacom then perhaps a few days tinkering ...

Like i said its a release ... cant think of a time i dont spend every hour doing some design .... so like you said nice to have a lil fun ... :)

mockup....and your logos show the time you've spent. Your work is very nice. I'll only tinker on my own time at home where I don't have the internet clouding my creativity.
