Unfortunately or fortunately (however you view it), I've used all of the illustration softwares and prefer Illy over all of them. It's more mainstream and been around for quite a while so more design companies use it.
I started using it in 1988 (can you believe I still have the original software?) and through all the years, it's improved the most out of all of them.

Yeah well.. FreeHand is on its way out, anyway. My last version was in MX. I keep it around just cause.. I would hold off on any "NEW" proposals to a new boss. Just give it time & they will come around.>
From what I have bee reading on Adobe.com and through their press releases, it looks like they are really going to incorporate a lot of the tools between the Macromedia purchase... if you hold out, maybe you can get your hands on the CS3 Master Collection.... http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/ Maybe Gordon Mackay would know better.. he's all buddy buddy with them now.. lol ..where's he now anyway? Anyway about it.. CONGRATS on the new job.. very exciting, keep us updated.
