Hello im a bit stuck, when I search for my company through google by my name the result displayed the following:

NG7 4BE Contact Sketchwork T. 07931 131 587 E. ... www.workinprogressdesign.co.uk/WIP3.swf - Similar pages" why does it display my preloader information? ie the 2% 3% etc while when I search under the company name it comes up fine: "Work in progress design Work in progress design is run by designer Richard Baird. Richard has been proffessionally designing for 15 months and has a wide portfolio of commercial ... www.workinprogressdesign.co.uk/ - 3k - Cached - Similar pages" I thought that flash was an enclosed file and it couldnt be read. I have very basic knowledge and any help would be REALLY appreciated. Cheers

if your search for Richard Baird E in google you get the result third one down
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Ric...utf-8&oe=utf-8 I think the reason you see the preloader info is the first page it comes to is an swf file rather then a web page where as when your search by company name google finds an webpage before redirecting to the swf file. because it's reading whatever it can from WIP3.swf.
If you have to have a splash page use it to your advantage and use html including as much advertising as you can. Let google have some content.

It is seriously hindering your position...
![]() All you need is a few lines of text including say H1 = Freelance Design Nottingham H2 = Some Services. There's no reason why you shouldn't appear in the top 30 at least.

Thank you for your reply's, the .swf is embedded into a html page in dreamweaver, but I have just a html page at the front.
Is the splash page the very first page you come too? I have included the description and a few keywords is there anything else I could do to help google? Cheers
