Plagiarism

Hello,

As I've said int he introduction, I'm Nowah, and I need your help.

I'm an artist, one that draws by hand on a sheet of paper, ink it and color it, that's my type of art, while yours is creating wonderous things with certain programs I have very little knowledge of.
But, we do share one great thing. We have an insight, insight in what we do best. Insight, as in, an idea, a great concept, a wonderous illumination.
Which is why I am certain we all have one and the same enemy. Plagiarism.

Allow me to explain myself.

A few days ago I stumbled upon a drawing. I had a suspicion of it being plagiarism because it was just a too good of a drawing for that artist, seeing his other art wasn't that good compared to this one.

This is the drawing of NOtricious, the one we have suspicions of commiting plagiarism.

We have done our own investigation, but we thought it would be better if a professional of Adobe programs would investigate this matter and tell us whether it is plagiarism or not.

Please note these facts:
1) NOtricious has stated he drew this all by himself on the computer
2) he stated math was required for drawing this
3) On Deviant Art he said he didn't draw it, but he 'made it' which could be anything.

I and other artists hope you professionals will be able to help us.

Looks lifted to me, the wheels are drawn badly

If it is possible, could you write down a full report? This way we can send it to Deviant Art and have him banned. It hurts us to see him taking all the credit for "making" this.

The drawing style varies once you get below the ankle.

Id say he traced it.

It totally looks lifted to me, there's very little doubt that it's the same image.

Isn't this like a daily event on Deviantart, people tracing anime pictures. I think you should just send both those links in a report? They'll remove it.

I've already sent a mail to dA, but they haven't responded yet. It appears it is allowed to trace art on dA.

However, it's not that I'm angery at him for tracing it, I'm angry at him for not saying he traced it. He said on another community he drew it all by himself instead of he traced it from another drawing.

Well, this is it. Try not to be despondent, they will get back to you and advise you of the best course of action. Try to remember what time of year it is as well, as I'm sure the mods will be trying to prepare for Christmas.

No, tracing is copyright theft, therefore it's illegal, therefore it's not allowed anywhere. They might just take a while to get back to you. Or send them a layover of the two images with the lines matching or something.
