just created a random logo for a fake company just wanted some feedback just did some different sizes

Hmm...its a bit too much in my opinion, just comes across that youve tried everything to keep it from being plain, when I think plain is what works best. I'd drop at least one thing, either the reflection, the shadow or the white outline, and then see what it looks like.

The reflection effect on the first logo IMHO opinion is too much. It needs to fade out more. The white border is really not working well for this logo and the drop shadow should not appear if you have a reflection on the bottom.

The 2nd logo has a more solid concept but the design just needs a lot more work.

Both are pretty decent....but I agree about the white outline on the first one and I don't recommend fading the bottom at all. It'll be hard to read regardless so I'd just nix it. The second one is nice and simple, but I think 2 stars would be enough so that you can make your logo as tall as it is wide. It'll scale better proportionately for any area (ads, billboards, letterhead, etc).
