Default Logos & Fonts

Hi.

If I make a logo based on two types of fonts, can I then call it for "my design"?

I feel bad everytime I make text logos, because I feel like "I haven't done anything" or that "someone else made the font" and "it's too easy just to put them together".... Some input?

Don't feel bad! There's an art and craft is how your select fonts, how you alter them and put them together to make the final product. It's analogous to collage and assemblage which, even though they generally use third-party source materials, are still considered artistic disciplines.

That said, I encourage you to render your text logos by hand if you feel the desire to do so.

Hope this helps.

Frist off, someone is paying you for your skills and knowledge, like you would with a bricklayer or hairdresser.
Secondly, you don't worry about who made your pencils, spray cans, computer before you use it to create something do you? lol trust me, stop worrying! :)

Yeah, just make sure you are using freeware fonts. A lot of fonts you can get online actually do require you to pay before you use them.

Otherwise, if you know the right color and right font to fit a certain logo, that's what they're paying you for.

just my 2 cents.
