Hi All,
I am working on the clarity of an image (web banner) that was designed for me using Photoshop. Some of the elements used in the graphic where from Illustrator. I think the designer did not integrate the elements from Illustrator correctly and thus one of the reasons the file may be blurry. I really need this file to be correct, crisp, and clear as it is on my front page. I need to know: -When designing in Photoshop and using images designed in Illustrator what is the best way to integrate those images from Illustrator without losing clarity? -What's the best way to save an Illustrator file to a jpeg or similar file? I am new to both Illustrator and Photoshop, but am ready to make the changes with your suggestions/help. Thanks & God Bless, Tyra |

Sure James. I attached the jpeg file. You can see the actual image also on my site (not launched yet) www.principlecornerstoneprops.com. Can you see the blurriness of the graphic online?
Thanks, Tyra |

It looks like the text is already compressed so when you compress the full image it's double compressed so looks blurred. Export from Illy as a PSD then open it in photoshop then you will be saving for web the whole thing at top quality
What is the jpg?r=90 doing to the image. I know q=100 is quality what is r?

Try opening the AI file directly in Photoshop and exporting it as a gif instead of a jpg.
Hope this helps. Diana

For the Export Options I selected the following:
Resolution: High 300 dpi Export as Photoshop CS2 Write Layers Maximum Editability Anti-alias Are these selections correct? I exported both the ai and eps files. Which one is best to work from? It mentioned that some containers in the AI document had been flattened. |

Thanks Diana, I tried opening the file directly in Photoshop, but it was blurry. When exporting from Illustrator to Photoshop, I don't see an option to export as a gif.
