Default What is the best programme to use for Making icons on a website?!?

I have used Adobe photo shop and tried to use illustrater but struggled with it...........

I really need a programme I can draw with, Adobe is good in some ways, I just wondoured if there was anything else I could use?

I am working on a tight deadline and I am in a bit of a panic!! I have only been with my company a few weeks and I don,t want to look like a total idiot!

I have just gotton lost in forums and websites and really need some help and guidence

Anyone? :D

This thread has some good comments that relate to your question, I think.

Illustrator is great for icons and logos and such. Although, if I'm doing those kinds of things for the web, I'll export it to Photoshop and optimize my icon/logo there. But Illustrator is where I start.

If you are wanting to draw the icons yourself, then Photoshop and Illustrator both support the use of Graphic Tablets which allow you to draw on the screen. I agree that your best bet will be one of those two programs.
