Default Pantone Help Required!

I've been working in CMYK colors for long time - but I got an order from a client couple of days back and he wants his logo and stationery in Pantone colors.

I have 2 questions about it just to start.....

First thing, which color mode should I start with? I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended.

and secondaly, the biggest confusion, which Pantone color scheme I should use? there are too many of them!!

Thanks in advance.

Solid, you shouldn't really be setting spot colours in photoshop, photoshop is for image manipulation, what exactly are you trying to do?

I have to create logo for my client and then the complete stationery (business cards, letterheads and envelops). Client special note for the job was to make it in Pantone colors instead of regular CMYK!!

It shows that you use photoshop, you could do with a college course or a bit more practice
