I've just tested it and it works fine. After it says 'your image is being resized and uploaded' and it's finished click the, my portfolio button at the top right and see if it appears

Maybe the problem is your browser. I know that with these portfolio sites, they usually have problems working with certain browsers.

I would suggest you post your portfolio on a website like Elance.com. That is a freelance site and they have extensive user profiles where you can post things like proficiency in certain programs [and test your knowledge] and where you can post things like a short bio and your specialties. Membership is free and you receive a direct link to your profile like yourname.elance.com which is easy to remember.

DA is nice but there's no space to add a lot of text. They do have a new portfolio feature (which I think might only be for Beta testers) where you can add a paragraph to accompany your gallery.
